Our favorite magazines, Freshmen and Men are getting a complete make-over and a ton more of content and features to boot. My dearest colleague and editor extraordinaire of Unzipped Media, informed me today that the magazines are moving into special editions and will publish individual - double-sized special editions with a distribution and press 4 times a year as opposed to the rather short monthly issues we have gotten forever. In addition the entire website is getting a new design and will sure to be the hottest of it's kind on the net. Sounds like an awesome plan I think and I can't wait to get my jumbo sized rags. Their final monthly editions will carry a November 2009 cover date. Starting in December, all current subscriptions will be folded into affiliated publication Unzipped. By the way the October issue just got released online and the printed version should be in your mail box soon. This month it features that sexy Gavin Tate and some really hot spreads you gotta see.

Freshmen is published monthly by Specialty Publications, a division of LPI Media, and founded in 1991. The magazine is geared toward gay and bisexual men, and features nude photos of men, 18-25 years old. Freshmen has featured young college-aged males since its inception in 1992. Since 2000, the focus has been on top-line male porn models from Bel Ami, Falcon, and other adult-video production companies. Other items, such as calendars and playing cards, are also published using the same label.

Men Magazine is also published monthly published by Specialty Publications based in Los Angeles and is the largest-selling magazine of that type in the country. Its target audience consists of gay and bisexual men. The magazine contains nude male photography often featuring popular stars from the gay adult film industry, erotic fiction, video reviews, and other adult features. It was started in June 1984 as Advocate Men as a sister publication to The Advocate, a gay and lesbian news monthly, and became a monthly publication from November that year. Starting with the October 1997 issue it changed its name to simply Men.
