'Harry Potter' Star Daniel Radcliffe Films Commercial For Gay Suicide Prevention
Daniel Radcliffe, who is best known for playing Harry Potter in the popular film series, is filming a public service announcement for gay and lesbian suicide prevention organization The Trevor Project. In a statement for MTV News, Radcliffe had this to say about the spot:
“It’s something I’ve always been quite passionate about. Because I grew up around gay men, it was always a natural thing to me. It was never something I ever gave a second thought to.”
Radcliffe has dipped his feet in a number of other projects away from the "Harry Potter" universe. He took a controversial role in the play "Equus," and has even made an appearance on the now-defunct HBO show "Extras."
