Brent Corrigan will star in the mainstream gay film “Judas Kiss“, set to begin shooting in Seattle on August 13, 2010. Also starring is Charlie David of “Dante’s Cove” and Richard Harmon of the Syfy Channel’s hit show “Caprica.” The film is scheduled to start the film festival circuit in January 2011.
“Judas Kiss” is about taking risks, seeking second chances, and finding the inspiration to succeed in an ever-evolving gay society. This is Brent’s breakout role and he is already pouring himself into developing his character.
Four years in development, the screenplay is written by Carlos Pedraza and J.T. Tepnapa, already veteran filmmakers. The quality of their work is apparent on their You Tube Channel. Tepnapa, an award-winning director of short films, will direct Judas Kiss.
Principal funding by private investors to shoot the film on location in Seattle is nearly secured, though investment units for funding post-production costs are still available. Prospective investors can contact J.T. Tepnapa Kickstarter. via
Additional funding required for an upgraded high-definition camera and production incidentals is being raised through a project funding account on Kickstarter.com. You can meet the filmmakers and learn about the project by watching their Kickstarter video.
Anyone can participate with just a $5 donation. Pledge levels and associated benefits are clearly outlined on the Kickstarter website. Donation levels are $20, $50, $100, $250, $500, $750, $1,000 and $1,500. Donating $2,000 will secure any backer a walk-on role in Judas Kiss with credits on the Internet Movie Database (IMDb). For a three-day adventure on the set – all expenses paid – a walk-on role and full credits on the film and website, donate $4,500 or more.
The Kickstarter funding goal is $5,000. As of this writing, 33 Backers have contributed $2,745. Total pledges of $5,000 must be received no later than July 10th at 2 a.m. EDT for the filmmakers to receive any funding. The goal is to over-fund the project, which many do on Kickstarter, to make the film even better.
