Didn’t we all know this boy was heading to the gay porn biz at one time – perhaps one of the fetish sites like Toegasms or maybe BoysPissing? Oh well, life is full of disappointments and this one is on top of our list. But hey, no reason we can’t pay a tribute to him – hence this layout today of Colton Haynes. Enjoy and leave your feedback in the comments section please.
There’s been a lot of contention regarding Colton, primarily his sexuality. Why? Because early in his career, he did a shoot with the now defunct gay youth-oriented magazine, XY and worked closely with Sean Bentz. In that spread, he’s seen kissing another boy in a hot tub. On his Twitter, he didn’t deny he was gay, his response to the photos was (paraphrasing): “A job is a job“. Make what you will of that. In April 2009 Queerty asked – Will Photos of Colton Haynes Kissing Another Guy Stunt His Career? Guess, it didn’t hurt this boy after all – it HELPED I’d say and you?
Some background on Colton: He was seriously considered to play Edward Cullen (of Twilight fame). Ultimately, we know who got that role but Colton kept getting small cameos and guest starring roles on television. This gorgeous boy just turned 22 years old this month (July 13, 1988). Colton grew up in Kansas and moved around throughout his whole life. He got his start working as a model in New York. He quickly got his big break when renowned photographer Bruce Weber photographed him in major campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch that put him on the map.
Soon after, Colton landed campaigns for Verizon Print 08, Kira Plastinina, TV commercial for Ralph Lauren/JC Pennys ‘American Living and appeared in several US magazines including Teen Vogue 07/08 and Arena Magazine. He has also appeared in the My Chemical Romance video entitled I Don’t Love You as the male lead in which he was painted black from head to toe. In March 2010, filming began for the ABC television series, The Gates, in which Haynes portrays Brett Crezski, a jock who begins to turn into a werewolf. The series just premiered on June 20.
