Elton John: 'So what's the fuck up with these people?'

Performing this past Thursday night in Tucson, Arizona superstar Elton John snubbed a boycott of Arizona,

"We are all very pleased to be playing in Arizona. I have read that some of the artists won't come here. They are fuckwits! Let's face it: I still play in California, and as a gay man I have no legal rights whatsoever. The 63-year-old singer-songwriter drew the ire of gay rights groups last month when he accepted a $1 million paycheck for performing at the wedding of Rush Limbaugh, who has a long track record of demeaning minorities, including the LGBT community. John entered a civil partnership in the UK with filmmaker David Furnish in 2005.

Ted Haggard: 'I Over-Repented' For My Meth-Gay Prostitute 'Crisis'

Rev. Ted Haggard has been leading his own new church for the past few months, and in a Wall Street Journal profile says he thinks he "over-repented" for an affair with a male prostitute, which he refers to as "my crisis." He also insists he's not gay -- and that his affair was just a massage gone wrong. The profile describes Haggard's new backyard barn church, which features bags of cement and a pulpit made of buckets. Haggard, who announced his new St. James Church in June, told the Journal:

"Tiger Woods needs to golf. Michael Vick needs to be playing football. Ted Haggard needs to be leading a church."

Haggard was founder and leader of the powerful evangelical New Life Church, before he was forced to resign in 2006 after he admitted to buying meth from a male prostitute, with whom he also had an affair. As recently as November 2008, Haggard's former friends in the New Life church expressed skepticism regarding Haggard's ability to lead, releasing a statement saying that "we cannot endorse his return to vocational ministry."

Another Social Application Hookup Gone Wrong!

Authorities say a man was murdered by a teen he met through a cell phone application and took to his home last weekend. Phoenix Police Det. James Holmes said officers responded to a residence in the area of 40th Street and Greenway Road around midnight Sunday after a resident returned home to find his apartment ransacked. When officers went inside to check they found a downstairs bathroom door closed and the lights on inside, according to Holmes. They did not get an answer to a knock on the door. Holmes said when officers looked under the door they could see a body on the floor and when they forced the door open found the victim badly beaten. He also appeared to have been stabbed repeatedly, Holmes said. Phoenix firefighters were called to the home and the victim, 54-year-old Mark Woodland, was pronounced dead. Woodland's roommate reported he had received a text message from the victim around 5 p.m. saying he was going to pick up a male date, whom he met on a social networking application, and bring him home. Woodland apparently asked his roommate to not be at home. The victim reportedly sent a second text at around 6 p.m. to ensure that his roommate had left the apartment. The roommate left and returned around 11 p.m. to find the home ransacked. "It was like a scene out of a movie," Holmes said. "The roomate did the right thing calling police." Holmes said officers were able to locate a friend of the victim in California who reported Woodland had met his date through a "social network" and the friend provided the male's user name. Officials have not identified the social networking application the men used. During the investigation, a witness reported seeing Woodland walking upstairs with a white male, approximately 18 years old, around 8:30 p.m. Officers also saw that Woodland's wallet was open and empty in the living room area of the home. On Tuesday, detectives were able to locate the suspect in the area of 32nd Street and Broadway Road and when detectives contacted three males at the house, one of them apparently fit the suspect description. Tommy Reed, whose telephone was determined to be the same phone used to arrange the date with the victim, was transported to police headquarters for an interview. Holmes said Reed, 19, gave details about the night of the murder that implicated him in the crime. Reed was later booked into the Fourth Avenue Jail on one count of 2nd Degree Murder. Holmes said robbery may have been a motive for the murder. STORY FROM FOX 15.com

Cheesecake Factory to Pay $345K in Male on Male Harassment Case

National restaurant chain The Cheesecake Factory Inc. has agreed to pay $345,000 to settle a federal lawsuit alleging it let some male employees sexually harass other male workers in suburban Phoenix. The settlement announced Tuesday by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission includes a requirement that the company train its employees and managers about sexual harassment. The EEOC lawsuit alleged company managers knew about repeated sexual assaults against six male employees by a group of male kitchen staffers at a restaurant in Chandler, Ariz., but did not intervene. The EEOC says the company denied the allegations.

Phoenix Ready To Party!

While gay Pride celebrations have traditionally been held in June to commemorate the famed Stonewall Riot, which happened late June 1969, one can now find a Pride celebration somewhere in the world almost any weekend of the year. In the United States, Pride events still dominate the June calendar but in the Arizona desert city of Phoenix the average high temperature is 103 in June. As such Phoenix Pride is now held annually in April, when the average high is a comfortable 84, making it one of the earliest -- and largest -- Pride events of the year.

This year, Phoenix will hold it's Pride the weekend of Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19. There will be a two-day outdoor festival held at the Steele Indian School Park (3rd St & Indian School Rd), from noon to 9:00 p.m. each day.  The festival will include more than 250 exhibitors, entertainment (including a special performance by Deborah Cox) and speakers, an art expo featuring local artists, food court and a kids area for children age 4 to 10 accompanied by an adult.  The cost for the festival is $25 for the weekend or $15 for a day pass.

On Saturday there will be a Pride Parade down 3rd Street and ending adjacent to festival grounds.  The parade will step-off at 11 a.m. and  include dozens of entries.  The Grand Marshal's will be longtime community activist Linda Hoffman and Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon.

Phoenix Pride draws visitors from the surrounding cities of Scottsdale, Tempe and Mesa, across the state of Arizona and around the world.  Phoenix has grown to become the fifth-largest city in the country with a population of more than 1.4 million people, with a very visible and active LGBT community.

Rave Hosted By Sex Offender

Loud, thumping music, glow sticks, and throngs of dancing teenagers all of these can found at popular all-age, all-night dance parties known as "raves," which are known for their wild atmosphere and abundance of drugs. Channel 5 Investigates in Phoenix, Arizona  went undercover to a rave held in a downtown Phoenix warehouse. Cameras caught partygoers dirty dancing, some wearing only underwear, and others sucking on pacifiers. But Jessica Smith, a rave expert and the Arizona state director of Students Against Destructive Decisions, said what cannot be seen is most alarming -- large quantities of Ecstasy.

"Walk around the parking lots after hours," Smith said. "You will see the beer bottles, the beer cans, used condoms, syringes ... Is that a safe environment?"

Channel 5 Investigates also found many adult men at the rave, mingling with teens. The man who appeared to be in charge is known in the local rave scene as "Boo." Cameras filmed him walking around with a security detail, stopping often to pose for pictures with teens. But what most party-goers don't know is Boo, aka Michael Booher, is a convicted sex offender. Wanted Fugitive (Gay Bars)

Have you seen this guy in your local gay bar? The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office added a special bulletin to its Web site today about escaped child rapist Adrian Cruz, displaying more photos of Cruz in the hopes someone will spot him. Scroll down to see the new pictures. As you'll recall, Cruz was the guy who slipped past inattentive deputies at the Superior Court last month while awaiting a hearing on sexual misconduct charges. At the time, he was already serving a life sentence in prison for having sex with -- and impregnating -- a 9-year-old. Cruz, a former ice-cream truck driver, is believed to be "frequenting gay-friendly establishment and day-labor sites," the sheriff's Web site states. Here's what one sheriff's official told KTAR news (92.3 FM):

"Since he's been in custody with the department of corrections, he has somewhat changed his sexual orientation," said Deputy Doug Matteson with MCSO.

"It's not necessarily that he doesn't prefer one over the other - he wants to get his sexual appetite fed any way he can. So it doesn't matter whether he'll take women, men or young girls."
