Move Over, Mary ... “Yes, God is definitely gay.“

At the risk of raising the ire of religious straight people worldwide, Barend Hardwinkel, Gay Sexpert from Amsterdam, Netherlands has written in his new book, Move Over, Mary, that, “Yes, God is definitely gay.“ In an interview punctuated with controversy, Hardwinkel laid out his case: “Look-I’ll make it easy for you. From day one God’s been on fire. She is very creative, which is a sure sign of gayness. Big poofy clouds, sparkly stars, sprinkly snow, outrageous sunsets-do you think a straight guy could come up with that? And the wildlife? Just look at an ostrich-if that’s not an example of intransexual design, I don’t know what is! Have you checked out that plumage?” Hardwinkel goes on to say, “And everyone says that God hates homosexuals, if that is true, that makes her the biggest closet case that ever existed. Just ask any Republican Congressman in your country.” “And God invented dancing, singing, painting, acting-all gay,” continued Hardwinkel. “And where’s her wife? In 10,000 years she can’t find a wife? Pulleeez…” When asked about war-would a gay God invent war? Hardwinkel explained, “War is all about drama-Lookout! Drama. Kaboom! Drama. Where’s my legs? Drama…and so there you have it. Case closed.” But there was one obvious question that had to be asked before the end of the interview-”Why then, I asked, are there straight people procreating all over the planet?” “To make more gay people, of course,” snapped Hardwinkel. Gay Ex-Cop Publishes Book, Police Chief Calls It 'Fiction'

Orange County Register, Huntington Beach – Adam Bereki said his book "Friendly Fire" is really two books in one. One side is his perspective on being a gay police officer for the Huntington Beach Police Department and the second is his journey after he settled a discrimination lawsuit with the city awarding him about $2.15 million, he said. My hope for this book is simply that it will touch people, and that any who has ever felt 'different' (and who among us hasn't?) will be able to relate in some way," he wrote in the introduction. "I am proud of the person I am becoming, and don't regret a thing that has ever happened to me." Huntington Beach Police Chief Ken Small, who was chief when Bereki was an officer, said he disagrees with the book's accuracy. "Based on the excerpts people have shown me ... this book definitely belongs in the fiction section," he wrote in an e-mail to the Orange County Register. Bereki's 160-page paperback released in March details alleged harassment by law enforcement peers from 2006 to 2007. He said the book is factually based except for names he changed because of legal concerns. "Though California is viewed by much of the country as one of the more gay-friendly states in the union, the Huntington Beach Police Department seemingly occupies an island of its own, pinned in a period of time that runs prior to enlightenment," he wrote in the book's forward labeled "The locker room." "The organization is well stocked with a wealth of good ol' boys who may as well have a sign hanging from the door of their clubhouse reading, 'No fags allowed.'" Bereki, now 30, said after the lawsuit was settled in 2008, he took about a year to write the book and travel to the Philippines, Thailand, Rome, Greece, Turkey and South America. By writing, he learned to no longer "hate myself as a young gay man" and rework his philosophy of law enforcement. "It might sound crazy but I know (the discrimination) is the best thing that could have happened to me," he told the Register. "They were brutal experiences but it kind of was someone slapping me in the head with a frying pan and saying you need to change your perspective." Bereki, who lives in Costa Mesa, said he is now more "comfortable in my own skin." His plans are to promote his book and bring more awareness of gay issues. He is no longer a police officer. "I found a peace and freedom in my life that I never knew possible," he said. Bereki received a $150,000 lump sum payment to end his lawsuit as part of a settlement approved by the City Council in April 2008. He also receives a monthly $4,000 disability payment for the rest of his life - a payout that could reach upward of $2.15 million, records show. This was the first lawsuit of its kind brought against the police department. A second discrimination lawsuit was brought against the city in May 2008 by a lesbian city jailer who said she was harassed by her peers and then pressured not to file a formal complaint. However, an Orange County Superior Court jury decided against the jailer, Catherine Denise Cranford, in March. Crandford has since asked for a new trial. Bereki's book is available on Amazon and at FriendlyFireTheBook.com

House Of Gianni Versace - The Untold Story

The very name conjures up images of outrageous glamour and bold sexuality, opulence and daring. Do most gays love Gianni Versace, or is it just me? House of Versace: The Untold Story of Genius, Murder, and Survival The first American book about the legendary designer, since his death, July 1997. The  book shows how Gianni Versace, with his flamboyant sister Donatella at his side, combined his virtuosic talent and extraordinary ambition to almost single-handedly create the celebrity culture we take for granted today. Gianni Versace was at the height of his creative powers when he was murdered in Miami Beach. The story was front page news around the world and the manhunt for his killer a media obsession. His beloved sister Donatella demanded no less than a funeral befitting an assassinated head-of-state to be held in Milan’s magnificent cathedral. In what was the ultimate fashion show, the world’s rich and beautiful – Princess Dianna, Elton John, Carla Bruni, Naomi Campbell, Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy, Anna Wintour and others – gathered to mourn a man already considered one of fashion’s great pioneers. Author Deborah Ball, a long-time Milan correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, conducted hundreds of interviews with Versace family members, Gianni Versace’s lovers and business rivals, models such as Naomi Campbell whom he helped shoot to international stardom and fashion industry icons, including Anna Wintour, the legendary editor of Vogue. Ball vividly recounts the behind-the scenes struggles – both creative and business – of Donatella as she stepped out of her brother’s long shadow and took control of the House of Versace. The book offers the first inside look at the enormous challenges Donatella faced in living up to Gianni’s genius, her struggle with a drug habit, her battles with her brother Santo and the mystery of why Gianni left control of his house to Donatella’s young daughter, Allegra. ELTON JOHN reportedly staged an intervention for Donatella at her daughter Allegra's 18th birthday party, following frightening and unpredictable behavior on the part of the designer. Donatella  spiraled deeper into addiction following the death of her brother, Gianni, who was murdered by spree killer Andrew Cunanan in 1997. Following John's intervention, Versace flew to Arizona rehabilitation facility The Meadows, where she received treatment for her substance abuse issues. House of Versace is a compelling, highly readable tale of rise from obscurity, a painful fall and ultimate redemption as the Versace empire returned to health – for now. Bringing together fashion, celebrity, business drama, jet-set lifestyles, and a notorious crime, House of Versace is an old-fashioned page-turner about a subject of enduring fascination. Inside The Mafia: They Now Can Call Him Sammy "The Gay Bull"

sammyNotorious gangster Salvatore "Sammy the Bull" Gravano had homosexual relations with a young man before making his way up the ranks of the Gambino crime family, according to a new book proposal currently being shopped. Authors Laura and Karen Garofalo were just 17 and 25, respectively, when their father, Eddie Garofalo, was murdered by Gravano's henchmen in 1990. In "Our Father's Blood," the sisters reveal that Gravano's bisexuality was "common knowledge" in Brooklyn. "People in Bensonhurst knew, but no one really talked about it," Laura Garofalo tells the New York Post's columnists Page Six. According to the proposal now being offered to publishers, Gravano once carried on a secret relationship with a man the Garofalos call "Jack Russo." After Gravano wed Debra Scibetta in 1971, he supposedly learned that Scibetta's brother, Nick, had admitted to her that he was gay, and that he, too, had been involved with Russo. "Nick knew Gravano's secret," Garofalo says. Nick Scibetta, an alcoholic with a cocaine habit, was murdered in 1978 after insulting the daughter of a Gambino boss and getting into a fight with the son of another. According to Laura, "Sammy has always maintained that Nick was killed because his behavior was out of control and he was a liability, but the truth is that he wanted him dead because Nick had threatened to out him." Garofalo says that of the 19 murders Gravano admitted to as part of his plea deal, Scibetta's is the only one that remains sealed. Gravano, who famously flipped on Gambino boss John Gotti and later entered the Witness Protection Program, is currently serving a 19-year stint in Arizona state prison after being convicted of possession and distribution of ecstasy in October 2002.

A History of Gay Porn: 'Bigger than Life: The History of Gay Porn Cinema from Beefcake to Hardcore'

bigger_than_lifeTo many gay men, porn is more than a hobby. It’s a way of life. We all have our favorites, and there are enough variations out there to please every stripe on the zebra of diversity. So what’s more interesting than porn? A book about porn. Jeffrey Escoffier’s Bigger than Life: The History of Gay Porn Cinema from Beefcake to Hardcore, is a highly readable examination full of behind-the-scenes dish as well as socially significant contextualizing. Join author Jeffrey Excoffier and legendary porn filmmakers Wakefield Poole, Jerry Douglas, Bob Alvarez and Chi Chi LaRue as they discuss the history of the porn. Hardcore porn – both the straight and gay varieties – entered mainstream American culture in the 1960s and 70s as the sexual revolution swept away many of the cultural inhibitions and legal restraints on explicit sexual expression.
Bigger Than Life follows the history of gay porn from the early days of beefcake in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco to the introduction of hardcore in the golden age of gay sexual freedom in the 1970s, through the crisis of AIDS in the 1980s, up to the Internet in 1990s. The Bay Area Reporter recently offered the following review of the book:

Jeffrey Excoffier

Jeffrey Excoffier

Jeffrey Escoffier covers the emergence of the gay film from an underground activity to a full-fledged industry. His story begins somewhat ironically in the art films of Kenneth Anger, Jack Smith and Andy Warhol – the first films with homoerotic imagery to be shown in public, yet none of which showed explicit sexual action. As such films evolved, Escoffier chronicles the rise of theatres and peepshows in New York City – although he doesn't tell where their films came from, or what they were. He makes the point, however, that key and explicitly gay films such as Fred Halsted's L.A Plays Itself and Wakefield Poole's Boys in the Sand preceded and paved the way for the heterosexual Deep Throat, which has been mostly credited with launching porn of any sort into the huge industry it became. Much of Escoffier's prime source material comes from Manshots magazine, which for many years ran lengthy interviews with nearly all of the industry's filmmakers and many of its stars. That means the book's viewpoint is largely one already rendered safe for public consumption; a little more hard-nosed investigation would have been telling. Yet as a social historian and arts writer, Escoffier can be brilliant, as when he plumbs the true depths of the field by pointing out the strange doubleness of porn: "It is both a fantasy created by actors and an enactment of the fantasy through real sex (that is to say, real erections, real penetrations, and real orgasms)." Ponder that one. BIGGER THAN LIFEYet if much of his thoughts are deep, he doesn't dig too deep beyond already public record. And he can stop frustratingly short. The shift from oral to anal depiction in gay porn, he says, is "difficult to document." So he makes no further attempt. And while he seems to come up-to-date, with an extended chapter on Falcon Studios, there's only one mention of Bruce Cam (he made an unnamed film for Falcon) and not a word about Titan Media. And there isn't even a single mention of Chris Ward or Raging Stallion Studio. The renegade film artist Christopher Rage appears only to talk about Casey Donovan. And what's this curious mistake about Bob Mizer's mother knitting posing straps for AMG models? Have you ever seen a knitted posing strap? They're sewn! Matthew Shepard's Mother Tells All in Book

judy_shepardThe story of Matthew Shepard is now synonymous with gay rights. But before his grisly murder in 1998, Matthew was simply Judy Shepard's son. Now an international gay rights activist, Judy Shepard's new book, The Meaning of Matthew: My Son's Murder in Laramie and a World Transformed, is being published for the 10-year anniversary of his murder. On "The Early Show" Tuesday, Judy warned that her new book is not an easy read. The author said writing about her son, who was beaten and tied to a fence for being gay, brought back a lot of difficult memories. "I thought a lot of those memories, I wouldn't have to go back to them," she said. "Digging it all up was a lot harder than I thought it was going to be." Judy said she wrote the book to get at the truth of Matthew's life. Read an excerpt of "The Meaning of Matthew: My Son's Murder in Laramie and a World Transformed" meaningofmatthew"It's our family's truth," she said. "And I make it very clear that they're our memories that may be remembered differently by other people, but this is our Matt and I felt it was time to introduce the Matt known to his family and friends to the Matthew that everybody else thinks they know." Rodriguez read a passage from the book: "There was blood everywhere, in a pool under his head and all across his face. Matted in his hair and caked around his nostrils, except for the tracks on each of his cheeks that had been left by tears." Rodriguez asked Judy how she has dealt with that pain over the years. Has anything brought her peace the last 10 years amid the loss of her son? "It's just day-by-day still," Judy said. "It's a horrible pain. ... What's happened is you don't really move on. It's just different. You remember different things. And in beginning it was the horror and anguish of losing Matt and worrying about the pain that he was feeling at the time. Now we talk about Matt and the happy memories that we have of him. So that's the good transition." She added, "I miss his hugs." From Matthew's murder, however, Judy said a lot of unintended education has occurred in the press. "People were made aware of what was going on in the gay community and it started a national dialogue," she said. "And then the production of The Laramie Project  sort of kept that dialogue going and I think people are just more aware, there's a lot more information available now. The gay community was part of every public discussion where it used to be something you didn't talk about -- in the closet, if you will." Since Matt died, Judy has lobbied for a hate-crime bill called The Matthew Shepard Act. She said she hopes the Obama administration and Congress will pass it into law. "We know the president will sign it if the bill comes to his desk," she said. "It's attached to a Department of Defense bill, so that makes it trickier. Just keeping my fingers crossed." Judy said she hopes her book and Matt's story will encourage parents to love their children no matter what. She said, "(Children shouldn't) feel anything other than just love and encouragement from their parents."

Brent Corrigan Was A Parking Ticket In His Former Life

brentcorriganmain

Brent Corrigan appears on the cover of a 400 page $90 coffee table book from Bruno Gmünder. Of course, that's a rather big honor and another trophy of sorts for the new Superstar of Gay Porn. Yesterday another one of the over new 2,000 registered users rang in on Brent's comments and said:

i just joined yesterday for one reason and one reason only…lol..you must of been a parking ticket in ur last life brent..cause uve got F.I.N.E. written all ova you!!…:) damn…..

brentparkingticket

Another registered user ... although claiming he isn't a fan had to throw his two cents of hater-ade out there and said,
Do you really think for ONE second that this blog exist because he want to be personal? This blog exist because he wants YOU to jerk off thinking about him and then buy is movies and jerk off some more.
And in rebuttal another registered user rings in along with scores of other loyal Camp Corrigan members and refutes:
Brent, don’t mind this guy. He’s obviously jealous and has some insecurities he needs to work out. But hey, you’ve got haters, which simply means, you’re a star. Congrats on the cover
brentfalconInternational publishing house Bruno Gmünder is paying tribute to Falcon Studios with an extensive 400-page photography book titled Ultimate Falcon. It will feature images from the historic studio and tell the story of Falcon, including how Chuck Holmes founded the company. The name Falcon stands for no less than the most successful label in gay porn industry worldwide. Early on Chuck Holmes made the decision to promote his movies by presenting glamour photos of his actors in various magazines. From the very beginning those pictures had a distinctive look:
Elaborately and luxuriously staged, they showed Chuck’s ideal of the American Dream Man: “Nice body, nice face, nice teeth, and hopefully nice everything else.” One can easily envision what exactly nice everything else was supposed to mean.
To convey the perfect mood the models were photographed immediately before the film was shot.
Without a doubt one can claim that Falcon is the major provider of gay pin up culture. The look that was shaped with these pictures is by now legendary—and until today it’s an unmistakeable signature: Male and muscular Dreams-come-true, portrayed in high-gloss, pinned up above numerous number of pillows on this side and the other side of the Atlantic Ocean. To give an extensive overview of this four-decades-comprising collection is a mammoth project.   The bulging photo book ULTIMATE FALCON rises up to this challenge! 400 pages of male flawlessness prove in a spectacular way, that the exciting blend of sex appeal and glamorous aesthetic has often been copied but never been reached by anyone but Falcon! Ultimate Falcon not only tells the amazing story of the label, but also a large piece of gay history in general! Founded in 1972 by Chuck Holmes, Falcon Studios made its way to the top of adult industry in just a few years. Up to the present day the company is able to keep this position. Numerous legends of gay porn industry—such as Chi Chi LaRue, John Rutherford and Steven Scarborough—began their career at Falcon. Chuck Holmes died in September 2000. Nevertheless the history of Falcon continues.

Michael Jackson was gay?

michael_jackson2Ian Halperin is claiming that Michael Jackson was gay, possibly anorexic and never molested children. And he says he's got the proof. Halperin's latest bio "Unmasked" The Final Years of Michael Jackson has critics and fans up in flames over its controversial statements. The latest revelation by Halperin is that there is a 2007 will that jeopardizes the 2002 will currently circulating the news circuits. In the 2007 will Halperin, who says he has multiple close and reliable Jackson sources, Katherine receives nothing and Janet and Reebe are the hopeful custodians. The award-winning author, who has written books about Celine Dion, Kurt Cobain and James Taylor, has been making the talk show rounds since Michael's death June 25.
I'll predict today, on your show, that we definitely -- this is not the last we've heard (about Jackson's will)," Halperin told CBS "The Early Show." "I think there will be people challenging the authenticity of the 2002 will in the coming -- in the near future."
And Halperin is adamant that the molestation charges were bogus.
I first got involved in the case back in 2005, after he was acquitted of the child molestation charges, Halperin told "The Early Show's" Maggie Rodriguez. "I was furious. I thought we had another O.J. Simpson-type case on our hands, with high-profile lawyers getting a celebrity off the hook. So I wanted to really let the world know that Michael is a child molester. But four years later, thousands of interviews and documents later, I conclude 100 percent that Michael Jackson never molested children, and he was just a victim of extortion attempts and people trying to bring him down.
Don't expect Halperin to go away any time soon. "Unmasked" was released July 14 by Simon Spotlight Entertainment. He recently discussed his book and revelations on Michael Jackson's sexuality and decision not to go public with Opie and Anthony Show (below). It gets pretty heated.
