David Forest Celebrates His 60th Birthday & 40 Years In Show Business On Dec. 12 at Eleven Nightclub.
Paul Nicholls and Jeffrey Sanker’s weekly friday night promotion, F R E S H, now in its 2nd year at ELEVEN Nightclub in West Hollywood (doing maximum capacity each week) … will play host to the 60th Birthday of Hollywood star maker, DAVID FOREST, on Full Moon, FRI – DEC 12. Forest will also be toasting 4 decades in show business.
Forest began his “storied,” 40+ years in show biz back in 1968 (after completing 2 years at Stanford University) as a rock agent & manager, working for the famous, Bill Graham in San Francisco. He handled the GRATEFUL DEAD, SANTANA, YOUNGBLOODS, COUNTRY JOE & THE FISH and other San Francisco bands. He also managed the early years of Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham and their band, “Fritz” (and, later, as “Buckingham/Nicks”).
At the end of his “rock years” Forest spent 3 years (1978-81) running 2 famous L.A. nightclubs … first, re-inventing the Sunset Strip’s, Whisky A Go Go (1978-79), which had fallen into bad times when the owners were focusing all of their energy on their other club, The Roxy. Forest whipped The Whisky into booming shape with bookings of THE POLICE, GRACE JONES, OINGO BOINGO, 999, THE DICKIES, SURF PUNKS, JOE JACKSON and others in the “new wave” genre. THEN, he moved on to Starwood (1980-81), the legendary rock palace (at Santa Monica Blvd. & Crescent Heights Blvd.) that gave birth to VAN HALEN, BLACK FLAG, QUIET RIOT, GO-GO’s, X, MOTLEY CRUE and so many others. Forest gave “The Crue” their first L.A. job … $100/nt back in the fall of 1980. Starwood was closed down in June of 1981.
Forest claims: “My first adult star LIVE booking was in 1982 for LEO FORD at Private Eyes in NYC. The promoter was JEFFREY SANKER. It’s wonderful that 26 years later Jeffrey is promoting the event for my 60th Birthday & 40 yr. show biz celebration!”
On “full-moon” Friday, December 12 at ELEVEN Nightclub, Forest celebrates his 60th Birthday and 40 years in Hollywood show business, both mainstream and adult … at the Nicholls/Sanker event, “FRESH.” There is NO admission charge for the event. With his rock and roll days seemingly over, Forest shifted gears (summer of 1981) … and, began a 27 year career in the adult entertainment industry. He became the TOP manager/agent for XXX stars … and … created a “private connections” business that made him the world’s most famous male madam. He handled the careers XXX careers (film, print & live) of RYAN IDOL, KEN RYKER, LEO FORD, LANCE, TIM KRAMER, TOM KATT, JEREMY TUCKER, BILLY HERRINGTON, JEFF PALMER, BILLY BRANDT, MARCO ROSSI, SCOTT BALDWIN, CHRISTIAN FOX, JON VINCENT, CHAD CONNERS, CAESAR, KEVIN WILLIAMS, ZEB ATLAS, MARK DALTON, SHANE ROLLINS, JOHNNY CASTLE and others (1981 thru 2008). This past June, Forest sold his DAVID FOREST ENTERTAINMENT and retired from the day-to-day XXX talent management/booking life. He does continue in the “private connections” business, calling his current program, FORESTMeetings.
David Forest and Brent Corrigan have finalized an arrangement for The Premiere Artists to begin handling LIVE appearances for the adult superstar. Corrigan, who was a triple winner at last year’s GayVN Awards, has appeared LIVE at a few of the nation’s gay nightclubs. However, Forest says, “I’m confident that I’ll be able to get Brent booked at many of the same places, nationwide, where I’ve booked Zeb (Atlas), Mark (Dalton) and Johnny (Castle). Brent’s fans will be seeing their hero from coast-to-coast in 2010.”
Brent is currently featured in these XXX adult films: “The Porne Identity” and “Brent Corrigan’s Big Easy.” Corrigan also has roles in these mainstream pictures: “The Big Gay Musical” and “Sister Mary” (coming soon).

The Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice Parole Board approved MARK DALTON, today, for parole on February 16, 2009. Dalton has been incarcerated for 18 ½ months due to a parole violation. The last several months he was housed at the Mineral Wells facility, east of Ft. Worth. He will parole to his home-town of Denton, TX. Dalton’s last adult film appearance was in the highly successful, “Mark Meets Zeb: The Texas Two-Step.” And, prior to that, he starred in Falcon’s blockbuster, “Super Soaked.”
Forest told XBIZ.com “I went away — it was a much needed change of style. And I felt like giving up my company — if I could get great money — it was time to do it, I also knew that I had to make some big changes in my life. I didn’t have to go away — I chose to go away. And I got great money and I think I did good. I feel great.”
Forest's new business venture will be similar to his Meet the Stars. His new "personal connection business" will be called ForestMeetings- The Ultimate Connection, and will facilitate meetings between private clientele and a select roster of exclusive models. The kind of guys you won't find on rentboy.com if you know what I mean 
Going forward, Forest hopes to resume relationships with several current stars that he has represented including Zeb Atlas and Mark Dalton. He mentioned that performer Jason Adonis might also join the roster, as well as “a couple of fellows that will remain nameless, that will come from the straight world.”
