Markoff Targeted Men Also

Craigslist KillingAccused Craiglist killer Philip Markoff, who police suspect attacked a number of women, may have also been targeting men, as well. A man who wishes to remain anonymous came forward to NBC and told the world that he once had a correspondence with Markoff, whom he met in the "M4T" section of Craigslist’s casual encounters section. "M4T," by the way, means "man for transsexual." The man, who lives in Boston, first struck up a conversation with Markoff last spring and Markoff, using the email address "sexaddict5385" sent him explicit emails and wondered whether the man would be up for getting together. They never did, but, upon hearing the news of the Craigslist killer last week, the man checked his old emails and tells NBC that the pictures were definitely Markoff, “I immediately went to the computer and typed his name in. It popped right up. I was scared like you wouldn’t believe.”  Markoff, who remains in prison, was engaged to a woman named Megan McAllister, but the wedding has been canceled. If Markoff was in fact corresponding with men, this could take the investigation in an entirely new direction. And raises more questions about Markoff, a seemingly clean-cut medical student, who’s accused of killing a masseuse named Julissa Brisman and attacking at least two other women.

He is also connected to an assault on a Las Vegas exotic dancer in Rhode Island last week. Markoff's arrest came days after his image was shown on surveillance video at the hotels. Davis said that authorities had him under observation for days before making the arrest. Click here for photos from the case. Authorities said Markoff was originally from upstate New York and now lives in Quincy, just south of Boston. Killed 2 Keep Gay Lover Secret

latinkings2Gang member killed to keep gay lover secret. Criminal Prosecutors in Salem, Massachusetts said Latin Kings gang member Christian Almonte was at his friend's house on the night of Feb. 24, 2008, just down the street from his secret lover Willie Escobar's Methuen apartment, when his friend said he needed a car.
"(Almonte) said, 'I can get you a ride. Wait here. I don't want you to be scared,'" prosecutor A.J. Camelio told jurors yesterday at the beginning of Almonte's murder trial in Essex Superior Court.
Almonte allegedly left for an hour and came back with Escobar's Toyota Camry. That was an hour before Escobar's roommate came home. The roommate discovered his room was ransacked and when he went to check on Escobar's room, he found the 41-year-old on the floor in a T-shirt and socks, covered with more than 20 stab wounds. A pornographic movie was playing on the television and a letter on the floor read, "I love you but you know we got to hide what we got." medThe apartment door had been locked when the roommate got home. Escobar's apartment keys were on the same ring as the car keys Almonte gave his friend that night, Camelio said. Camelio made his case against Almonte during yesterday's opening statements, saying the North Andover gang member killed Escobar because he didn't want Escobar breaking the "code of silence" hanging over their secret homosexual relationship. He also was angry that Escobar was sleeping around with other men. Almonte, 26, who also goes by his gang name "King Joker," is on trial on charges of murder and larceny of a motor vehicle. Police allege that Almonte and Escobar had been seeing each other before Almonte went to prison for four years for stabbing a Lawrence youth, and continued the relationship when he got out in December 2007. Almonte has said he ended the relationship when he got out of jail. His attorney, Edward Hayden of Lynn, told jurors Almonte did not kill Escobar. Hayden argued that the murderer could be any one of Escobar's lovers, that the police wrongly fingered Almonte for the crime. He used another one of Escobar's lovers, Johnny Pagan, as an example, saying Pagan said he had sex with Escobar 10 hours before he died and the love letter in the bedroom was written by him. Pagan will serve as a witness for the prosecution, saying he heard Almonte threatening Escobar during conversations over their Nextels.Hayden said Pagan's bodily fluids were all over Escobar's body.
"They never seized his clothes, never searched his apartment. ... The problem when they did that is they disregarded other potential suspects," Hayden said. "Escobar lived a dangerous lifestyle. Any one of the guys he was having sex with is a potential suspect."
Hayden said police found only tiny drops of blood inside the hood of Almonte's jacket and on the bottom of a pair of socks in his bedroom when they searched his home and seized his clothing a few days after the killing. "Whoever killed (Escobar) had to have more blood on his socks and shoes than tiny droplets," Hayden said. Jurors were bused to the crime scene and then down the street to Almonte's friend's house to show how close the two locations are. Testimony begins today. Camelio told jurors that they will hear testimony from a friend of Almonte that he called her and told them to lie about how they ended up with Escobar's car. Almonte's friend and two women were arrested in Haverhill with the car the night after the killing. Camelio also said Almonte's former girlfriend will testify that Almonte told her he was going to "terminate Willie." Hayden ended his opening statements warning jurors.
"You're not going to like Christian Almonte. You're not going to approve of his lifestyle," he said. "You're not here to judge his lifestyle. You're here to determine whether he's a killer."

Gay Chat Room Murder

spenser-vogt-150x150A traffic stop in a small southwest Georgia town last week led to an arrest in the slaying of a 19-year-old man, bringing to an end an investigation of a relationship that started in a gay chat room. Lee Carl Banks III, also 19, is on his way back to Katy, Texas after an astute Grady County sheriff’s deputy stopped Banks on March 30 as he was driving the damaged Mitsubishi Eclipse of Spenser Vogt (photo) in Cairo, Ga. Vogt was later found dead in Texas, shot twice in the head and his body wrapped in a tarp and dumped. Police say the two men, who knew each other for less than a week prior to the killing, initially met in a gay chatroom. Banks was stopped early in the morning of March 30. As sheriff’s deputies questioned him, they later searched the car and found a .38-caliber handgun inside. Two days later, a Texas Ranger and a homicide detective were in Cairo to interview Banks, who then said the shooting was accidental.
[Sheriff’s Investigator Steve] Clark says Banks told the Texas officers he had met Vogt in an Internet chat room about a week before his disappearance, and the two had been out together the evening of Friday, Mar. 27. That night the couple went to Banks’ apartment, where Banks claims he accidentally shot Vogt in the head. Banks told the officers he then dumped the body in a ditch in southeast Houston. By Wednesday night, officers had found a body with multiple gunshot wounds to the head dumped and wrapped in a tarp in the area Banks described. Because the body had been there five days, authorities had to wait on a medical examiner’s report to positively identify it as Vogt.
On Monday, Banks appeared in a Grady County court, where he waived extradition. Authorities returned from Texas Tuesday to transport Banks back to the state. Coverage of the case in the Houston Chronicle has generated scores of comments.
That is so sad. Now is the killer really gay or just out searching for people to rob and kill? Death Penalty is in order and hopefully he’ll get it! Gay or not, this young man did not deserve this. I agree with SUEGAR who wrote “Was it really necessary to report that the two met in a gay chat room?” NO, it wasn’t. This was someone’s son.. I am sure they would give anything to have him back in their arms. Yes. It brings out all the anti-gay crowd to the boards. Now they can use this tragic event as ammunition to further their homophobic cause. Its the same reason they publish immigrant status, race, and religion to excite the opposite crowd. Have you ever noticed 300+ comments on an immigrant crime versus >20 on a regulat crime?

Killer Text Message

charliedavisA gay London, England  man accused of killing his ex-boyfriend by setting him on fire texted his friend: “I have to do it tonight,” the morning before the attack, a London court has heard this past week. Nadim Kurrimbukus, 25, also known as Adam, is said to have callously torched 23-year-old Charlie Davies (pictured to the left) outside his home in Templedene Avenue, Staines, England, on June 14 last year. Charlie Davies, 23, had been doused with kerosene and set on fire. He died 12 days later in the hospital. Police experts found the message to pal Yusuf Dulloo, 27, when they later analysed his phone, Kingston Crown Court heard today. They also discovered Kurrimbukus left messages on Mr Davies’ mobile after the 11.20pm attack, including one voicemail 18 minutes later saying:
“Hey, where the hell are you? Give me a call. Hope, you’re well. Bye,” and a text reading: “What you up to naughty boy? Why are you not answering my calls?”.
Kurrimbukus, of Heath Road, Hounslow, and Dulloo, of Ashton Gardens, Hounslow, are on trial at Kingston Crown Court where they deny murder and arson. Paul Britton, a former boyfriend of Kurrimbukus, told the jury the defendant vandalised his car in an act of revenge in March 2005 following a bitter break-up. The court heard Kurrimbukus drove for around 40 minutes to a Buckinghamshire village to carry out the attack in the early hours of the morning. Mr Britton said: “I was woken by the security light. I left my bed and opened the curtain. It was early hours of the morning, unsociable hours. “I saw Adam Kurrimbukus hurling a brick at my vehicle, at the front windscreen. “It was for long enough to recognise him and then see him move away from the car. It was as clear as day.” His Vauxhall was left with a smashed window and lights, and scratches along the body work, the jury heard. Mr Britton said Kurrimbukus phoned him in April last year to talk about his break-up with Mr Davies. He said: “I think he said Charlie owed him money or had done him out of money. He said he wanted to get his own back on Charlie. It was in an aggressive way. “I reminded him of the things he did to me and that things like that always come to grief and you should let it go. “He said he was going to get his own back on Charlie and he had a plan.”

Maneaters! Five Unsolved Gay Serial Killer Mysteries

GC-GaySerialKillersDahmerTH.jpgRemember Jeffrey Dahmer?  Who could forget that hottie, right? After hearing about the "smiley face" case, in which over 40 college guys have gone missing after nights of drinking and been found dead in rivers across the country, we decided to re-open the files on some other unsolved gay serial killings.  Granted, the possible motive in the "smiley-face" killings has not been revealed, but the sexual component of serial murder, coupled with the reasonably attractive, drunk college status of the victims, as well as our own tendency
toward the sensational leads us to believe that the boys of Randy Blue and Sean Cody shouldn't be taking their lives lightly. Here's a roundup of some other unsolved multiple-murders out there that the gays out there might be interested in—in a 1-AM-on-basic-cable kind of way.
JaricsSerial200.jpgColonial Parkway Killer On the Loose Since: 1986 Details: Four couples were abducted from their cars, including a lesbian couple, over the course of three years, and their bodies discarded either behind a rest area or along the Colonial Parkway in Virginia. One couple, who remains missing and whose car was found abandoned, is presumed dead but was never found. Police suspect that the murders were the work of a law enforcement officer or rogue CIA operative. Who Should Look Out For Themselves: Young porn wonder couple Aden and Jordan Jaric, who should think twice before making out at any Virginia rest stops. RavenAtlantaDragQueen200.jpgAtlanta Drag Queen Killer On the Loose Since: 1987 Details: Six men in women's clothes were shot in the head over the course of five years.  No known victims since, and no suspect was charged. Who Should Look Out For Themselves: Atlanta Drag Star Raven and The Artist Formerly Known As Stonie should keep a hand on their heel at all times. WillClarkSerial200.jpgNew York City Gay Serial Killer On the Loose Since: 1991 Details: The bodies of five men were discovered, hacked into pieces and usually in garbage bags, in the New York area over the course of three years.  As the New York Times reported, all five mature men were believed to be gay or bisexual, and four of the men were last seen in New York City gay bars, including the Townhouse on the Upper East Side and the Five Oaks piano bar in the West Village. No suspect was ever charged. Who Should Look Out for Themselves: Will Clark, host of Porno Bingo on Wednesdays in Hell's Kitchen, does too much good to fall into such evil hands!
GC-TimBonhamSerial200.jpgDenver Gay Slasher On the Loose Since: 1992 Details: Four men were stabbed to death in the same year, likely by a man they met in a Denver gay bar. No known victims since 1994. Who Should Look Out For Themselves: Denver-based former porn star Marcus Allen, aka Timothy Bonham... if he ever gets out of prison, that is.
DamienSerialKillers200.jpgMiami Gay Cuban Killer On the Loose Since: 1998 Details: Two gay Cuban refugees, Leonidas Ramos and Osvaldo Del Pino, were shot six days apart, probably after bringing home a stranger from Allapattah-Comstock Park. Miami police believe they've solved the crime, though a conviction has not been reached in the case. Who Should Look Out For Themselves: Damien Crosse (left) has moved away from his childhood home Miami's Little Havana, but who knows what danger lurks around the holidays. When we tell this hottie to play safe, we mean it!
